We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to oversee and manage Adabas database environments.
- Maintain, monitor, and optimize Adabas database systems.
- Perform routine tasks such as backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Plan and implement upgrades and maintenance of ADABAS, Natural, and related Software AG products.
- Apply patches and emergency fixes to ensure database stability and security.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization using database utilities and third-party tools.
- Support disaster recovery exercises and ensure database recoverability.
- Collaborate with Systems Programmers to address performance and operational issues.
- Provide on-call support and maintain documentation for all completed tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 5 years of experience as an Adabas Database Administrator.
- Strong understanding of Adabas database structures, utilities, and performance tuning techniques.
- Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for Adabas.
- Knowledge of third-party database management and monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
