About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate and Space Planning leader to join our team at Swinburne University of Technology. As the Associate Director, Estate and Space Planning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our campuses.

This dynamic position is designed for a strategic thinker with a passion for sustainable development and innovative space management. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for optimizing the University's estate across three campuses, ensuring that our facilities not only meet current needs but also anticipate future demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive frameworks that enhance our work environment and culture.
  • Support capital infrastructure programs and address associated space planning requirements.
  • Provide insightful options analysis and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.

About You:

  • Relevant professional background and extensive experience in leading and managing strategic space management, property/asset management, and/or major capital programs in a complex estate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role and in an organisation of similar size and complexity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to manage the expectations and interests of competing internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Degree (and/or postgrad) or professional institute qualifications in Architecture, Urban Planning, Design, or similar discipline, or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and/or education/training.
