The University of Sydney is seeking a Health Service Research Associate to support investigators in conducting a sexual and reproductive health needs assessment of temporary migrants to Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct qualitative interviews with PALM workers, employers, and health workers across NSW to identify their experiences and perceptions regarding health service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with the research team to develop and implement a comprehensive data collection plan.
  • Analyse the collected data using suitable qualitative software to inform future health policy and practice.
  • Present findings to stakeholders, including the NSW Ministry of Health, through reports and manuscripts for publication.
Qualifications:
  • A PhD in infectious diseases, sexual and reproductive health, public health, or a related field.
  • Experience in qualitative research methods, including framework analysis.
  • Pasifika background or experience conducting research with Pacific Island communities is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
