This is one of the largest antitrust teams in the world.

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially-focused lawyer with + years' experience to support our clients' across a wide range of matters and industries in this fascinating area of law. The successful candidate for this position will be curious and keen to learn the fundamentals about how our clients' businesses work and what drives their success. They will also understand fundamental competition law concepts and their practical application, preferably with an understanding of economics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising corporate domestic and international clients, government clients, and regulators such as the ACCC on all aspects of competition and consumer law.
  • Providing advice on merger clearance, litigation/dispute resolution, investigations, and economic regulation.
  • Supporting clients like renewable developers, energy networks, generators and retailers with the nation-wide transition to a net-zero economy, supporting their navigation of regulatory frameworks and novel contract structures.
  • Assisting clients with licensing, network access and price control in regulated industries, including ports, rail, airports, and shipping.
Requirements
  • + years PQE experience gained within a leading law firm or regulator, with predominant exposure to competition and regulatory and/or consumer law matters
  • Commerciality, curiosity, and an enthusiastic and proactive attitude
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong ability to work well in a team
  • Outstanding attention to detail, analytical, technical and drafting skills
