Speech Pathologist Role Overview

As a Speech Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to work in an integrated and holistic way to enhance the outcomes of children.

  • Develop and implement evidence-informed approaches to support the progression of children's learning, development and well-being.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to observe, identify and support the inclusion and participation of children in educational settings.
  • Build strong relationships with families to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Establish linkages with local services to streamline referral pathways for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality professional development and contribute to reports and resources as required.
  • Ensure that all administrative requirements are met and maintained in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the field
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication, negotiation and coaching skills
  • Strong understanding of child development from birth to 5 years
