Midwifery Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated registered midwife to join our team at Royal North Shore Hospital. As a key member of our woman-centred maternity unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality midwifery care to expectant mothers.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a registered midwife to contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will have the chance to work collaboratively with obstetric, medical, and other staff to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Midwifery Care: You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, woman-centred midwifery care in accordance with ANMC National Competency Standards.
  • Supervise and Mentor: As required, you will supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure they receive the necessary support and guidance to perform their duties effectively.
  • Liaise with Interdisciplinary Team: You will consult and liaise with obstetric, medical, and other staff as per ACM National Midwifery Guidelines to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Key Requirements
  • AHPRA Registration: You must hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
  • Communication and Teamwork Skills: You will need effective communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Recent Experience: You should have recent experience in antenatal, labour, birth, and postnatal care.
  • Nursing License: You must hold an unrestricted NSW driver's licence.

Please note that this is a NSW Health Category A position requiring immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
