**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Pathology Collections Trainer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to make a meaningful contribution in the field of pathology collections.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering training programs to new and existing collection staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accurate records and providing support to colleagues as needed.

To be successful in this position, you must have at least 5 years' experience working in pathology specimen collections, hold relevant industry qualifications, and possess a Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection, as well as a current driver's license.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain appropriate records for all induction and training provided
  • Perform competency assessments on new and existing staff where applicable and maintain appropriate records
  • Provide support and training to Buddy trainers in the theory of delivering, assessing, and evaluating on-the-job training
  • Support the Risk Management/Quality department as required and produce and maintain relevant policies and procedures in consultation with associated departments
  • Identify in-service training needs and arrange or conduct the training as required
  • Ensure all incidents are clearly and appropriately documented and responded to in a proactive and timely manner

**Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience working in pathology specimen collections
  • Excellent pathology collection clinical skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Able to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude that inspires staff
  • Relevant industry qualification and relevant/current industry experience
  • Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection
  • Current driver's license
