Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to join our expanding Business Tax practice. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for advising business owner clients on a full spectrum of business and tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Advise business owner clients on strategic tax planning, business advisory, and compliance work.
- Manage and oversee the engagement team focused on Partnership, S corporation, or C Corporation taxation, as well as Individual and Fiduciary taxation.
- Collaborate with RSM specialists regarding Estate and Gift planning, State and Local Taxation, and International Taxation.
- Communicate complex issues to clients in a non-technical manner, facilitating communication between the client and the service team while managing risk for both the client and the firm.
- Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to Staff and Supervisor level team members.
- Drive growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects, developing strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors through a commitment to outstanding client service.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business-related field.
- CPA license in one's principal place of business/home state, licensed J.D., or Enrolled Agent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in public accounting with an emphasis on taxation, including experience in managing client engagements.
- Proficient in entity (Partnership, S Corporation, or C Corporation) and Individual Taxation.
- Familiar with Fiduciary, Gift, and Estate Taxation.
- Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or collect necessary information for tax service requirements.
