Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and oversee sports training, coaching, and competitions for athletes with intellectual disabilities on a state level.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusivity and empowerment among individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers and athletes to deliver inclusive sports programs.
  • Provide leadership and support to volunteers to ensure successful program outcomes.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with stakeholders to ensure smooth program delivery.

Requirements

  • Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Organisational and Coordination skills
  • Passion for promoting inclusivity and empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and athletes
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of disability sports and inclusion practices
  • Previous experience working with Special Olympics or similar organisations is a plus
