Job Title:

Engagement and Marketing Officer

This is a newly created permanent full-time opportunity to develop strategic marketing and tourism campaigns.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of experience in community engagement and communications, with a focus on delivering impactful campaigns. You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders to ensure effective communication and public participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engagement plans and utilizing timely written materials to promote council events and activities.
  • Develop and assist with design, production, and distribution of promotional and marketing material for tourism purposes, including relevant websites and social media presence.
  • Assist and improve council's engagement processes to ensure needs of local community are reflected during initiative development.
  • Represent council at range of stakeholder events, ensuring Narrabri Shire's corporate image is maintained while complying with relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications or experience in community engagement, communications, or consultation.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communications campaigns.
  • Understanding of modern communication technologies, including social media and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to prioritize tasks.
