Job Summary:


Bechtel invites applications for the role of IS&T Technician on the Pluto Train 2 project.


As a member of the Bechtel team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for the project's IT infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Implement Bechtel policies, procedures and standards.
  • Plan and implement IT equipment and services as the project progresses.
  • Coordinate with Bechtel IS&T Service Center and Bechtel Support teams.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors.
  • Asset management and Call management using Service Now.
  • Assist with the installation, testing and commissioning of server/network/telecommunications components such as routers, switches, server and storage etc.
  • Other responsibilities as designated.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or other IT related Technology (equivalent years of experience considered)
  • 5+ years IT experience in a field/office location

Additional Information:


This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather.

Disaster Prevention and Recovery:


Bechtel has a strong focus on health and safety, and this role requires the ability to identify, track, and resolve problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems.


Skills and Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience with hardware and operating systems including system architectures, network infrastructures, client server principles, backup, recovery, and storage policies and procedures.
  • 5+ years of experience identifying, tracking and resolving problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems.
