Accountant Position

This role involves supporting the Managing Director with data-driven decisions and active team collaboration in a fast-growing food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and accrual journals
  • Reconcile GL control accounts
  • Process supplier payments and payroll
  • Prepare and lodge BAS
  • Manage cashflow
  • Oversee stocktake, accounts payable/receivable, and banking
  • Value inventory
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Coordinate month, quarter, and year-end deliverables for management and Board

The ideal candidate will possess advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in Word and Outlook. Additionally, they should have experience with Xero, Fishbowl or other manufacturing software, and Aussie Timesheets payroll system. A Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification is also essential.

About You

For success in this position, you will need to demonstrate efficient work habits, an inquiring mindset with attention to detail, solid communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. Experience working independently with the ability to contribute to a small team is also desired.
