Event Production Specialist Opportunity

This role involves leading the planning and execution of large-scale public events that align with the Council's strategic objectives. As an Event Production Specialist, you will ensure high-quality outcomes through effective project management.

About the Role:
  • Lead event production operations and logistics for council-led and partnered events, ensuring seamless delivery through planning, stakeholder coordination, and innovative practices.
  • Manage internal teams, contractors, and external partners to deliver exceptional event experiences, fostering strong relationships across the community.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee event planning, programming, and implementation, ensuring alignment with council objectives and timelines.
  2. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including council staff, contractors, and external partners.
  3. Coordinate event logistics, including site management, risk assessment, crowd control, security, and emergency response planning.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports of event activities, outcomes, and lessons learned.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as marketing, event management, communications, or hospitality.
  • Proven experience in event production, preferably in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, time management, and team leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
