The Opportunity

As a Project Support Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of complex high-profile projects through administrative and operational assistance.

You will work alongside multidisciplinary project teams and key stakeholders, ensuring the seamless execution of project activities in accordance with Defence standards, frameworks and timelines.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will span scheduling, coordination, stakeholder liaison, and documentation support — requiring a proactive, detail-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, scheduling and coordination of project activities to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including plans, reports and registers.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and project progress.
  • Provide administrative assistance to project managers, including meeting scheduling, minute-taking and correspondence management.
  • Monitor project risks and issues, assisting in the implementation of mitigation strategies.

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Essential:
    • Proven experience in project support, administration or coordination roles.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • NV1/NV2 security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous experience in the defence or government sector.
    • Familiarity with project management tools.
