We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Habit Coach to join our team at Everyday Independence. As a Habit Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to develop greater independence and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Implement therapy plans provided by primary therapists to support participants in achieving their goals.
- Work with participants across all ages and stages of life, supporting them in developing healthy habits and promoting independence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless support and care for participants.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, their families, and caregivers to ensure effective support and communication.
- Studying a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year) or have completed a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification with demonstrated experience in a similar position.
- Consistent and ongoing availability to work, including minimum two (2) days a week to support participants during their afternoon routines.
- Ability to travel to regional and surrounding areas.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passion for working within the disability sector and making a difference in people's lives.
- A valid Australian driver's license and access to your own vehicle.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children's Check.
- Continuous learning and guidance from industry-leading Allied Health professionals.
