Job Opportunity: Outreach Solicitor

This role offers a unique chance to build relationships with First Nations communities and protect their cultural heritage.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in culturally safe legal practice, education, and reform on cultural heritage issues facing Indigenous peoples.
  • Develop strong connections with community members, solicitors, and other professionals across the organization working towards environmental justice.
  • Conduct outreach activities, including travel to remote locations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A practicing certificate or entitlement to one.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience desired for Solicitor level (5 years for Senior Solicitor level).
  • Experience in legal outreach, education, administrative law, environmental law, and/or cultural heritage law is highly valued.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills suited to various audiences.
