Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join our Design team, responsible for creating cohesive and commercial product ranges that align with our brand aesthetic and quality strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Trend forecasting: Identify, interpret, and implement global and market trends to add value through design and sales in line with our brand handwriting.
- Product development: Create desirable and affordable products that are unique to the external market, with a thorough understanding of product materials and construction.
- Print and pattern: Develop commercial, customer-focused print and pattern that best reflects our brand handwriting and taste level.
- Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders to create and deliver customer-centric product ranges, with effective communication and presentation skills.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Graphic Design, Textiles, or Buying.
- Minimum 7+ years of designing experience in a fast-paced retail environment or supplier to DDS.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- A folio that demonstrates the ability to design product that is commercial and in line with our brand aesthetic.
- Technical understanding of product development, fabrics, garment fit, and execution.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Solid knowledge of print types and limitations within print execution.
- Transferable skills and ability to adapt to product types for general merchandise design.
