Job Overview

This is a part-time accounting position that offers flexibility and autonomy.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and be able to prioritise competing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and reconciliations.
  • Prepare payroll and ensure superannuation compliance.
  • Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with external accountants.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
  • Process and manage prepayments and accruals.
  • Keep financial records tidy and accurate.
  • Support management with ad hoc financial queries and reporting.
  • Handle payroll tax, superannuation submissions, and end-of-month adjustments.
  • Manage the accounts inbox and ensure timely responses.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Demonstrated experience as a bookkeeper or accounts officer.
  • Solid working knowledge of Xero; experience with Astute Payroll is a bonus.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
