About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Professional to join our team in Greendale and surrounding areas. As a valued member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to individuals with complex needs, enabling them to live independently in their community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred support to clients with physical disabilities, including manual handling and personal care
  • Support clients who have had a stroke, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance and guidance
  • Assist with domestic duties, such as showering and dressing, and facilitate community access
  • Build strong relationships with clients, demonstrating patience, empathy, and a willingness to learn
  • Promote independence and empowerment among clients, working collaboratively with care teams and professionals
  • Hold a full driver's licence and be comfortable driving client vehicles
  • Work varied shifts, including sleepovers, day support, and in-home evening support, committing to ongoing shifts (more than twice weekly)
Requirements
  • Good judgement and common sense, with excellent listening skills and a commitment to our values
  • Experience supporting people with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and neurological conditions
  • Knowledge of personal care and domestic duties, with the ability to assist clients with daily tasks
  • Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives
  • Commitment to working collaboratively with care teams and professionals to achieve client goals
