Water Treatment Specialist

This is a role that involves the monitoring, testing and recording of wastewater at various points throughout the process. It also requires the operation of Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) equipment as well as the preparation of treatment chemicals for removal of bio-solids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily monitoring, testing and recording of wastewater
  • Operation of DAF equipment
  • Preparation of treatment chemicals for removal of bio-solids
  • Operation of equipment for removal of bio-solids
  • Troubleshooting of the Waste Water Treatment Process
  • Monitoring and controlling odour emissions

This position plays an important role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our waste water treatment processes.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong analytical skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements
  • Prior experience working in wastewater treatment or a related field would be highly beneficial
  • Good understanding of biological nutrient removal processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
