Job Title: Mental Health Professional
">Mental Health Support RoleThis role focuses on providing mental health support to individuals affected by the Syrian crisis in Syria and Turkey. Collaborate with technical staff based in Izmir or Mersin to improve mental health, encourage open discussions, and refer individuals to psychologists and other services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess the needs of individuals and families referred by Social Workers and Protection Outreach Workers to confirm the need for psychosocial support.
- Define appropriate activities based on identified needs and follow up with individuals.
- Ensure project implementation meets objectives, reporting regularly on significant issues.
- Document each session to comply with donor audit requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate potential risk factors.
- Participate in internal meetings and report security-related issues to the line manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
- At least 2 years' experience in humanitarian aid programs, including work with refugee populations.
- Prior experience in Protection Programmes.
- Excellent planning and communication skills.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- Fluent Arabic and solid computer skills, especially in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams in sensitive environments.
- Spoken Turkish or English.
