We are seeking a skilled mental health professional to contribute to providing high-quality services to patients. The role involves delivering therapeutic services, facilitating group and individual interventions, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Grade 2 Psychologist with experience in assessment and treatment of mental health disorders, to provide both individual and group-based therapeutic intervention across inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Facilitating evidence-based group and individual intervention, within inpatient and outpatient settings, across Adult Psychiatric, Older Persons and Early Parenting Units/Programs.
  • Delivering therapeutic services to patients with a broad range of psychopathology, including psychoeducation and skills-based sessions.
  • Possessing strong risk assessment and safety planning skills.
  • Working collaboratively with admitting psychiatrists, other allied health clinicians and nursing staff.
  • Attending multidisciplinary team meetings and representing the psychology discipline as needed.
  • Possessing strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Participating in the development and review of programs as necessary.
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Appropriate recognised qualifications in Psychology (i.e., Masters, DPsych or PhD).
  • Experience in delivering a wide range of therapeutic modalities.
  • Experience in group facilitation.
  • Excellent organisation, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work as part of a high functioning, multidisciplinary team.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 and Influenza.
Desirable
  • Endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
