About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team at KinCare. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our clients.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating habits and independence.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our clients stay engaged and connected with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to maintain our clients' dignity and well-being.
  • Manage medications and assist with mobility and therapy goals to promote optimal health and function.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to our clients and their families, providing a sense of relief and comfort.
  • Provide complex care for clients with high care needs, including dementia and other complex conditions.

Requirements
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is a part of the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to our clients, with a focus on their dignity, well-being, and independence.
