Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Process Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Processing Department, you will play a crucial role in achieving operational excellence and ensuring the treatment plant is operated safely and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To contribute to achieving budgeted production performance;
  • To ensure the treatment plant is operated in accordance with task instructions and operational parameters;
  • To effectively plan, manage and monitor activities whilst maintaining statutory compliance;
  • To actively participate in continuous improvement by analysing data and identifying opportunities for improvements;
  • To provide leadership and mentoring to Process Supervisors, Process Operators, Graduate Metallurgists and Metallurgical Assistants;
  • To assist with the implementation and continuation of ICMI cyanide code compliance;
  • To correct and/or report safety and environmental hazards when identified to mitigate risk;
  • To consider the financial impact of your actions and proactively participate in cost management;
  • To build strong, productive interpersonal relationships within the Processing Department and other areas of the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We Are Looking For Someone With:

  • A recognised tertiary degree in Metallurgy or relevant discipline;
  • Sound knowledge of process technologies and equipment;
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a mineral processing plant, preferably gold;
  • Exposure to implementation and maintenance of ICMI cyanide code;
  • A valid Driver's Licence.
