About the Opportunity

Cumberland City Council is seeking highly skilled and dedicated professionals to join our Education and Care team as OOSH Educators. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to children from birth to 13 years of age.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and inclusive educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote child safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the centre.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in an education and care related discipline (or working towards with completion within 12 months) or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Valid Working with Children Check Clearance Number.
  • Child Protection course approved by the NSW Regulatory Authority (s162A Education and Care Services National Law) (or willing to obtain).
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate as approved by ACECQA (or willing to obtain).
  • Completion of Food Handler/Safety Training (or willing to obtain).
  • Current class C drivers licence.
  • Proven skills and experience in education and care, customer service, communication, computer operating systems, time management, and organisational skills.
