About This Role

This role plays a vital part in offender rehabilitation and reintegration services within the Consortium. The Case Manager will collaborate closely with internal and external partners to deliver tailored support plans, leveraging evidence-based practices aligned with Department of Justice's Individualised and Integrated Offender Management framework.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive case plans based on client assessments, identifying specific needs and recommending relevant referrals.
  • Implement effective case management and counselling techniques to facilitate smooth offender reintegration into society.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including case notes, assessments, and support plans.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders through open communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct family and domestic violence risk assessments, creating tailored safety plans and providing guidance on risk management.
  • Prioritise individuals in crisis by offering specialist referrals and throughcare programs tailored to their unique needs.

Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Criminology and Justice, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Diploma in Community Services, Counselling, or a similar area of study.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a similar capacity.
  • Experience in adult justice reintegration support environments is highly desirable.
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities in a culturally responsive manner.
  • Ability to undergo a National Criminal History Record Check and Integrity Check.
