Graduate Tax Consultant

A tax professional is required to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of taxation law and be able to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.

This role involves providing advice to clients on complex tax matters, interpreting legislation and drafting client-ready advice. Strong analytical and writing skills are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and interpret tax legislation to provide accurate advice to clients.
  • Develop and implement tailored solutions to minimise risk and maximise opportunities for clients.
  • Prepare and present written advice, memos and emails to clients.
  • Build outcome comparisons (CGT, Div 7A, distributions, roll-overs) and present recommendations to clients.
  • Assemble evidence, draft submissions/briefs, and support cases in the ART or court.
  • Design step plans for restructures, succession and funding.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Law and/or Commerce/Business/Economics; tax or business law subjects highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills; ability to interpret complex law and develop clear solutions.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and accountable for deadlines and quality.
  • Australian citizen strongly preferred (due to government client work); PR/work-rights considered.
