About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial and management accounting, managing financial audits and systems, and coordinating corporate services such as finance and payroll.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Manage financial audits and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Coordinate corporate services, including finance and payroll, to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and implement business controls to support senior management and drive new initiatives
  • Provide hands-on support to the Acting CFO and team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting, with CA/CPA qualification and experience in finance or management accounting roles
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge and experience in financial year-end and audit processes from a business perspective
  • Proven ability to prioritize, monitor, and coordinate personal workload with minimal supervision
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and reporting practice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise reports
  • Experience in month-end financial processes and reporting, including analysis of budget variances
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office products and advanced Excel manipulation and modelling skills
  • Experience in payroll or willingness to learn
