Leadership Opportunity in Property Finance

CBRE is seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance professional to join our Property Management Finance team as a key leader in our Victorian portfolio of retail assets. As a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, you will oversee the Real Estate Accounting services and manage a team of Property Accountants to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, including onboarding and training of staff
  • Collaborate with Property accountants, Senior Finance Managers, Property management teams, and Investment teams to deliver high-quality financial reporting
  • Oversee the work of Senior Finance Manager/Property Accountants to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Manage and deliver annual budgets and forecasts across the portfolio
  • Own and manage Major tenant's calculations, including Percentage Rent, Extended Trade, Occupancy Capping, and Direct Recharges
  • Ensure timely delivery of Specific Outgoings and GS007 Audits to the auditors/client
  • Review financials, including Monthly P&L workbooks, EHT models, Percentage Rent models, Outgoings models, Base Rent Models, Rebates, and Concession models
Requirements:
  • CPA/CA qualified with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Previous senior-level experience in commercial/retail property accounting
  • Knowledge of Retail Leases Act and Legislation
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent people management skills with a track record in creating a positive team culture
  • Time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
