Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Driller to join our team in North Queensland. As we continue to expand our operations, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in blast hole drilling or a strong desire to learn and grow in this field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute column and collar drill holes with precision drilling, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  • Maintain meticulous daily drill logs, perform pre-start checks, and manage time sheets efficiently.
  • Cultivate a safety-centric approach while surpassing production forecasts.
  • Regularly utilize safety tools such as Take 5 assessments and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
  • Maintain rigs in impeccable condition, ensuring they are clean, organized, and primed for operation.
  • Diligent reporting of maintenance issues and meticulous record-keeping of consumables.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in blast hole drilling operations or a strong desire to learn and grow in this field.
  • Possession of a Certificate III in Drilling Operations is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Sandvik DPi or Pantera rigs is preferred.
  • Proven track record of thriving in remote work environments.
  • Ability to obtain national police check clearance and possess a current Australian Open Class Manual Drivers License.
