About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health and Physical Education Teacher to join our team at Geraldton Senior High School. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Health and Physical Education lessons to students of various ages and abilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum programs that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote growth and improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote student well-being and academic success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in Health and Physical Education
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and registration with the Western Australian College of Teaching
  • Have a strong understanding of the Australian Health and Physical Education curriculum and its application in a secondary school setting
  • Be able to teach at an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level and possess a sound understanding of the curriculum and courses
  • Have experience in using high-impact and trauma-informed learning strategies to engage students in Health and Physical Education
  • Be able to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low-achieving students
