Our company is a leading provider of innovative transportation solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior ITS Engineer to join our team.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and implementing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) that improve the efficiency and safety of our transport network.

About the Role
  • Support systems engineering approach to problem definition, requirements development, solution design management, verification, and validation.
  • Coordinate with technology partners to develop ITS solutions, including corporate infrastructure, network, and security elements.
  • Perform risk-based assessments of ITS infrastructure to inform recommendations for capital investment.
  • Evaluate options for ITS asset management solutions.
  • Support ITS Engineering Services to project managers for projects in delivery, including design workshops, reviews, and test witnessing.
  • Evaluate adherence to Australian and industry standards for ITS solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement ITS solutions that meet customer needs and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of ITS systems and processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Some professional engineering experience with ITS systems or similar technical domains.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal presentations, report writing, and concise management reports.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and ability to quickly prioritise workload, set goals, and develop plans.
  • Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and curious mindset.
  • Deep interest in innovation and evolving technology landscape.
  • Understanding of project delivery and system engineering lifecycles.
