Cloud Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

The Cloud Operations Specialist will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, virtual networks, load balancers, Azure Active Directory, and storage accounts.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Administer Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and cost management tools.
  • Support Azure DevOps pipelines and assist with CI/CD implementations.
  • Configure and monitor Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and compliance policies.
On-Premises System Operations
  • Maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
  • Manage virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper-V or VMware).
  • Support on-prem backup solutions, patching, and routine maintenance tasks.
General Responsibilities
  • Automate routine system tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Ensure proper monitoring and alerting using tools like Azure Monitor, SCOM, or third-party platforms.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
  • Respond to incidents, root cause analysis, and documentation of operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and support teams to ensure smooth deployments and secure environments.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud and system operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud computing, automation, and scripting.
