Electrical Design Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced electrical design engineer to oversee and deliver high-quality electrical engineering designs across a portfolio of industrial projects.

This leadership role will involve technical oversight, team coordination, and client engagement ensuring all designs meet performance requirements and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Leadership: Develop electrical designs including power distribution, motor control and lighting for industrial installations.
  2. Design Oversight: Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards through peer reviews and design checks.
  3. Technical Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure integrated design outcomes.
  4. Team Mentorship: Provide technical direction to junior engineers and designers.
  5. Design Quality Assurance: Conduct electrical studies including load flow fault level arc flash and voltage drop analysis.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 8-10 years experience in electrical design engineering preferably in heavy industry sectors.
  3. Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems equipment specifications and design practices.
  4. Proficient in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD EPLAN ETAP or PowerTools.
  5. Sound understanding of AS/NZS 3000 AS/NZS 3008 AS/NZS 61439 and other relevant standards.
  6. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
