Welcome to the Shire of Merredin, a forward-thinking local government in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region. We're seeking an experienced Corporate Services Manager to lead our finance and operations team.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. They will also possess strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire and manage teams.

As the go-to person for all things strategic and operational, you'll ensure our financial and business practices meet legislative standards. Your expertise will help shape our budgeting and planning efforts, and you'll work closely with senior management on integrated planning frameworks.

You'll oversee core operational functions, including finance, procurement, risk, and internal audit, as well as support Human Resources and Customer Services. You'll also develop and monitor budgets, long-term financial plans, and capital works, ensuring our financial integrity and compliance excellence.

In addition to your technical expertise, you'll be a problem solver with strong critical thinking skills, able to think on your feet and navigate the unique challenges of local government operations. You'll be part of a small, friendly team that values collaboration and fun, working together to make a real difference in our community.

We offer an attractive base salary of up to $110,000 plus superannuation, rent-free accommodation, and up to $5,000 in relocation assistance to help you settle in stress-free. You'll also enjoy training and development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and additional superannuation through our co-contribution program.
