Dam Safety Manager

WaterNSW is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dam Safety Manager to join our Operations team. As a key member of our Dam Safety and Engineering Team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of our Dam Safety Management System (DSMS) and ensuring compliance with industry good practices.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement dam safety management programs in accordance with our DSMS.
- Manage the delivery of dam safety activities, including inspections, performance evaluations, and risk reviews.
- Identify and mitigate dam safety risks and issues arising from dam surveillance activities.
- Assess and report on dam safety activities against DSMS compliance obligations.
- Provide specialist expertise and advice on WaterNSW's Dam Safety Investment Strategies and policies.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience in dams engineering and safety evaluation of existing dams.
- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of dam design, construction, operation, safety surveillance, and maintenance.
- Experience in leading a team of technical staff and providing coaching and mentoring.
- Current NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel to WaterNSW sites.
