We are seeking a highly skilled Senior / Principal Structural Engineer - Dams to join our Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) Dams group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of complex dam projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of dam projects, including conceptual to detailed design of dams and structural components
  • Conduct structural analysis and review of concrete dams, spillways, and appurtenant structures
  • Develop and implement dam safety upgrade programs, including inspection, investigation, and condition assessment of existing dams
  • Provide construction support services, including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data, and construction reporting
  • Prepare tenders and proposals, and provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in structural design, including the preparation of design reports, design drawings, and specifications, ideally within the dams industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and the local industry
  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of dam design and construction principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive and innovative approach to problem-solving
