Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their homes and in the community
  • Help individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations through the development of daily living skills, social skills, and budgeting
  • Assist with personal care and daily activities, such as meal planning, cooking, and light cleaning
  • Facilitate community connection and socialization through outings and activities
  • Support individuals to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services
Requirements
  • Passion, patience, and empathy in working with individuals with disabilities
  • Dedication to empowering individuals to live their best lives
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including manual handling tasks
  • Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent experience
