Electrical Engineer Role

This position involves planning, leading and executing pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities for electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup activities for electrical systems.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, procedures and acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with standards and schedules.
  • Coordinate with contractors and disciplines to align work sequences with project plans.
  • Oversee testing, storage and inspection of electrical systems.
  • Participate in facility/system walkdowns and testing documentation close-out.
  • Assist with the preparation of operations manuals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven commissioning/startup experience on major projects (LNG, oil & gas, or heavy industry desirable).
  • Strong understanding of safety management systems, codes and standards.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and subcontractors.
Working Conditions:

Exposure to active construction and operations environments. Work may involve heights, confined spaces, uneven surfaces and variable shifts. Use of PPE required.

The successful applicant will have Australian working rights as sponsorship is not available.
