Your Opportunity

Our Turnaround and Restructuring team is growing nationally, with new opportunities in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. Turnaround and Restructuring specialists at all levels will play a key part in the team by:

  • Participating in engaging engagements across advisory, restructuring, and formal insolvency.
  • Deploying best-in-class data analytics to diagnose issues and design integrated solutions incorporating due diligence, financial analysis, cash flow modeling, and report writing to deliver superior outcomes for clients.
  • Building trusted partnerships to confidently deliver scenario planning, going concern analysis, and guiding directors and CEOs in their duties and obligations.
  • Collaborating with team members across the country on local and national engagements across a diverse range of clients and industries.

Our team collaborates closely with our national Deal Advisory group, which covers M&A, Corporate Finance, Debt Advisory, Transaction Services, Value Creation, and Valuations. This group assists clients in finding and driving value throughout the deal and transformation lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a commonsense professional with a balance of analytical skills and commercial acumen, who can connect with people and has a thirst for problem-solving. You should have a career focus or deep knowledge of turnaround, restructuring, formal insolvency, and/or private credit.

You should be able to engage with clients to communicate key issues and options to solve, link data analysis to identifying key issues, and bring this to life in a succinct and visual form, devising strategy to deliver consensual outcomes.

You should have the confidence and capability to prepare marketing proposals, pitch packs, and undertake analysis and evaluation of target opportunities.

You should work best in a national, collaborative team environment, learning from peers, leading at all levels, and supporting team growth.

We're growing at all levels, including Analyst/Consultant, Executive/Senior Consultant, and Manager levels (we would consider this as early to mid-career professionals) as well as Associate Director and Director (our leadership and subject/sector experts), who bring a range of qualifications, skills, and experiences, including:

  • Recent experience in similar consulting firms, independent corporate advisory, accounting or law firms, investment banking, private credit, or within commercial teams in operational businesses.
  • Proven experiences working across turnaround, restructuring, insolvency, private credit, or relevant skills and an interest that will transition into these areas.
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role and ideally a post-graduate qualification or on a pathway to complete (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA, ARITA or TMA certification).
  • The ability to prepare reports and presentations and deliver financial analysis.
  • A mindset for strategic problem-solving and unpacking operational inefficiencies to improve performance.
  • You are comfortable and efficient with Excel to interpret and model data and generate insights.
