We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Technical Director to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and debugging technical issues related to asset pipeline workflows, including performance optimization and rendering problems.

About the Role:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to the production team, ensuring seamless integration of assets into the production pipeline.
  • Asset Pipeline Optimization: Troubleshoot and debug technical issues related to asset pipeline workflows, including performance optimization and rendering problems.
  • Pipeline Tool Development: Develop and maintain pipeline tools to streamline asset creation, management, and deployment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, such as modeling, texturing, lighting, and compositing, to ensure seamless integration of assets into the production pipeline.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues, predict potential problems with assigned tasks, and develop creative solutions.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of technical artists, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the production team, stakeholders, and clients to ensure clear understanding of technical requirements and deliverables.

About You:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of high-end feature film VFX and/or Animation experience.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge and experience in Python, Maya, Katana, MARI, and Nuke. Experience with Houdini and Katana LUA is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, particularly in asset pipeline workflows.
  • Rendering Technologies: In-depth knowledge of rendering technologies such as Arnold or similar renderers.
  • Shotgrid API: Familiarity with Shotgrid API and Shotgrid Toolkit is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of technical artists, provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
