Job Title: Senior Media Infrastructure Specialist

This role is responsible for the effective management and maintenance of post-production systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficient workflow.

  • Daily Operations: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining daily operations of post-production systems, providing comprehensive setup and support for productions.
  • Technical Support: Providing technical support for media and data management systems, including Avid Media Composer / NEXIS / DR / Nearline / LTO storage management.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows and Mac OS environments, as well as proven ability to operate Avid Media Composer and install suites and software.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Avid Media Composer / NEXIS / DR / Nearline / LTO storage daily management.
  • Operational monitoring and maintenance of all relevant media and data management and storage systems,
  • ensuring optimal use and performance of the systems at all times.
  • Building, testing and troubleshooting local and remote edit suites.
  • Supporting staff working remotely and remote workflows.
  • Working with the IT department to resolve any network or IT related crossover issues.
  • Technical setups, workflows and implementation of Post systems on a show-by-show basis.
  • Ensuring equipment is deployed and tested prior to staff starting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High level of knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS environments.
  • Proven ability to operate Avid Media Composer and install suites and software.
  • Knowledge of existing post-production techniques, workflows and shared storage systems.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suites (Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects).
  • Ability and experience with training staff.
  • Calm, organised and methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to multitask and work unsupervised.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and work to deadlines.
