As a healthcare professional, delivering high-quality patient care is crucial. This role involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide supportive and comprehensive care to residents.
- Complete thorough assessments and develop personalized care plans with residents and care teams.
- Provide clinical care, manage medications, and respond to any changes in health status.
- Liaise effectively with families and relatives regarding resident care.
- Collaborate with other teams to promote residents' overall wellbeing.
- Supervise, support, and delegate tasks to care staff.
- Maintain accurate records, report incidents, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
To excel in this position, you will need:
- A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and a valid CPR Certificate.
- Experience in aged care or dementia care (preferred) with strong clinical assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- A high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with care.
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including electronic healthcare records and documentation systems.
We require:
- A current National Police Clearance.
- Flexibility to work varying hours as needed.
- Completion of a pre-employment medical may be required.
