Your daily tasks will involve:
- Designing subdivision projects, including site layout, grading, drainage, and road design using advanced software.
- Conducting site visits to assess conditions and determine design parameters.
- Preparing and reviewing design drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Providing guidance to junior engineers and liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
- Attending site meetings and offering technical support to clients and contractors
This opportunity is with a well-established multidisciplinary firm specializing in surveying, civil engineering, and project management.
The company offers the chance to work on diverse projects ranging from residential subdivisions to large-scale community developments, all while utilizing cutting-edge technology and eco-sensitive designs.
Your team has Civil Engineers who undertake in-house road and stormwater drainage designs, water reticulation design and sewer reticulation designs for Council/ Certifier construction approval. In addition, they also undertake stormwater strategies for DA's, Erosion and Sediment Control Plans and Traffic Control Plans.
As a consulting Civil Engineer, you'll follow these projects from conceptual DA to detailed construction approval, through to project management, contract supervision during the course of the civil construction.
You will need:
- Experience in civil engineering, particularly in subdivision design.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience liaising with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
- Experience with road, stormwater drainage, water, and sewer reticulation design for council approval.
- A diploma in civil engineering / design would also be acceptable provided you have the experience and knowledge.
