Financial Planning & Accounting (FP&A) Analyst

Raytheon Australia is seeking a skilled Financial Planning & Accounting (FP&A) Analyst to support the business through the coordination, preparation, and provision of accurate and concise analysis of the company's budgets and forecasts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing monthly management reporting, preparing financial metrics and analysis for management reviews, and meeting reporting deadlines in accordance with the financial calendar.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing monthly management reporting for the company, including financial reports, operations review packs, and leadership team finance reports.
  • Preparing financial metrics and analysis for management reviews, including forecasting and analysis of full year forecast against the budget and prior forecast.
  • Meeting reporting deadlines monthly/quarterly/annually in accordance with the financial calendar.
  • Processing enhancements by effectively leveraging the potential of core financial systems.
  • Supporting the development of the Long-Range Financial Plan and Annual Operating Plan.
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and other analysis as requested.

Requirements include:

  • A University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience required.
  • Theoretical to advanced knowledge of Finance or Accounting.
  • Practical knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to facilitate a decision-making process.
