Payroll Officer Job Description

RDO Equipment Australia is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll functions and related tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure employees' queries are addressed and payroll software is maintained.
  • Provide end-to-end payroll support and solutions.
  • Distribute ad hoc reports as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • Process employee terminations and new starters.
  • Attend to superannuation payments and payroll tax payments.
  • Assist with month and year-end processing.
  • Provide reports to ensure accurate FBT information.
  • Ensure employees are paid according to relevant Award and Employment Law.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in managing payroll functions.
  • Understanding of superannuation compliance and payroll tax.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Planning and organisational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Team player.
  • Confidentiality.
