Event Management Position

Club Demonstration Services Australia is a leading provider of in-house event marketing services, driving sales for our customers and partners.

The Event Manager will be responsible for effectively managing and leading a team of Sales Advisors to carry out their daily operational functions smoothly. Key responsibilities include:

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Directing and coordinating event/demonstrations activities relating to successful execution
  • Instructing and providing oversight to events/product demonstrations and ensuring proper execution with established quality, safety, and sanitation practices
  • Ensuring customer interactions are maintained and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Supervising, leading, and overseeing Sales Advisors, coaching, and training them to improve performance and employee relations
  • Updating weekly rosters and reporting on key metrics
  • Identifying and participating in the recruitment and hiring process
  • Providing continuous feedback on performance, increasing employee retention, and improving employee relations
  • Interacting with store management and associates to address issues and review results
  • Maintaining Food Safety and Sanitation Standards and ensuring workplace safety for all associates
  • Creating, establishing, and maintaining good stakeholder relationships
  • Conducting accident/incident investigation as per company guidelines and documenting findings

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory/leadership position
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in previous roles
  • Retail/Hospitality experience is ideal but not essential
  • Willingness to grow and learn with a global team
  • Confident to recruit, coach, counsel employees, and take corrective measures as needed
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulatory standards and practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
