We are seeking a reliable and skilled individual to fill the position of Casual Tender Boat Driver & General Support. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the tender vessel between the mainland and Cockatoo Island, ensuring all goods are transported securely and stored safely upon arrival.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Tender Operations:
    • Operate the cafe's tender vessel between the mainland and Cockatoo Island for stock deliveries.
    • Ensure all goods are transported securely and stored safely upon arrival.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the tender at all times.
  • General Cafe Maintenance:
    • Support daily upkeep tasks such as gardening, cleaning, and minor repairs.
    • Conduct equipment maintenance, including deep fryer oil changeovers and safe disposal.
    • Perform basic manual tasks as required (lifting, moving supplies, basic handyman duties).

**Essential Criteria:**

  • Current boat license (NSW - General Boat License or higher)
  • Experience with manual handling and physical labor tasks
  • Experience or understanding of safe food storage and transportation
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency card (or willing to obtain)
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and solve problems on the go
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive team attitude

**Desirable Attributes:**

  • Previous hospitality, cafe, or maintenance experience
  • Familiarity with Cockatoo Island operations or similar marine environments
  • Basic gardening or handyman skills
