Job Summary:

A Process Improvement Specialist will oversee all aspects of commercialization and capital projects, troubleshoot existing production lines, and enhance food processing efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, with experience designing and executing manufacturing equipment/capital projects. They must also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process Optimization: Analyze packaging, processing lines, and utilities within the facility, identifying limiting components and determining costs and benefits of any change.
  2. Project Management: Design, develop, procure, and implement new technology and/or retrofit existing production lines with R&D, engineering, maintenance, contractors, and other support teams.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Investigate equipment and process failures or inefficiencies; develop corrective action plans and performance improvements.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  5. Team Collaboration: Advise maintenance and operations personnel on proper operation of systems and serve as a source of expertise in engineering and equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree)
  • Minimum three years' experience designing and executing manufacturing equipment/capital projects
  • Minimum three years of experience in Food, Beverage, Personal Care, or other CPG manufacturing equipment
