Job Overview

The role of a logistics coordinator plays a crucial part in the success of our organization. We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team and oversee the coordination of road transport logistics for cottonseed across our domestic cotton footprint.

This position is based in Toowoomba and involves planning and executing logistics to ensure contractual obligations are met. The successful candidate will also be responsible for processing customer deliveries in a cost-effective and timely manner, providing reporting on logistics-related activities, and collaborating with cotton gin managers and weighbridge staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute logistics operations to meet contractual requirements.
  • Process customer deliveries efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide regular reports on logistics performance, including freight costs and executed tonnages.
  • Work closely with cotton gin managers and weighbridge staff to manage shed capacities.
  • Ensure all road freight contractors adhere to our company's policies and procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with carriers and third-party stakeholders.
  • Accurately record data across multiple inventory and contract management systems.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination/management.
  • Strong understanding of post-farm-gate agricultural enterprises.
  • Experience with cotton and/or grain logistics is highly desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of AP/AR principles.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable Skills:
  • Understanding of standard form commodity contracts.
  • Undergraduate degree in supply chain management, business, or commerce is highly regarded.
